You will arrive at Ghana's newly renovated, international airport,
Kotoka. From there you will be ushered to our base location, where
a welcome meal awaits you. Introductions will be made and an
orientation will ensue, thereafter, you will have an opportunity to
unwind. For the restless, we will tour our immediate environs, but
for the tired, a warm bed and cool breeze awaits. |

The first phase of our pilgrimage will be for deprogramming, during
which we will shed the weight of burdens left in the West and face the
harsh circumstances under which we were expelled from the East.
Returning through the 'Doors of No Return', we will dispel the
notion of defeat and trample down the initial barrier to our
re-installment as heirs to the land of our forefathers.
This part of
the journey takes us to Cape Coast, where we will see the dungeons
that held us before export, beaches of tropical
magnificence and a sanctuary of trees, birds and bees indigenous to
Africa. |

As we move away from the coast, we will enter into the interior of
Ghana, specifically the Ashanti Region, known as Kumasi. It is
there were we will encounter or vast resources, rich culture, and regal
heritage. Our objective for this phase of the excursion will be to
begin the realignment process, that is to merge our past with our
future. In Kumasi we will visit a gold mine, a kente weaving village,
the Chief's palace (highest recognized chief in Ghana), and Lake
Bosumtwi. |

Most of our time will be spent away from the city of Accra, as we
aim to focus on the immense beauty the lies beyond the perimeters of the
concrete jungle, from which you are already too familiar. However,
we will venture into the capital, staying a safe distance away, on the
coast, where the air is cleaner and the nights cooler.
In Accra we will visit the Ministries, the
markets, and schools. We will also see many typical tourist sites
and monuments, as well as indulge in shopping and a bit of night life. |

The final leg of our journey ends up in the Volta region, the most
pristine, green locale in Ghana. This is the groundation phase.
Here we will immerse ourselves in nature, while staying in a typical
Ghanaian village. We will enjoy both the simplicity and splendor
that life has to offer in Africa. For our leisure we will climb
west Africa's tallest mountain, scale the border of our neighboring
state, Togo, walk through the rain forest and bathe in the water falls
of our choosing. We will also be visiting various types of farms, taking
fruit from the trees and honey from the hives. |
